The African Journal of Business and Innovation (AJBI) applies a double-blind peer
review method to protect anonymity and uphold fairness. Editorial decisions are made
as efficiently as possible, and submissions that fail to meet the journal’s focus or
requirements are not advanced to review.
Reviewers are responsible for declaring conflicts, adhering to timelines, conducting
thorough and confidential assessments, and alerting editors to ethical concerns.
Reports should provide constructive guidance that helps authors improve their work.
Authors must likewise disclose conflicts and submit revisions promptly.
Even after completing reviews, confidentiality remains mandatory, and reviewers
should reassess revised manuscripts when requested.
For special issues, the same rigorous standards apply, with guest editors supporting
manuscript management and reviewer selection under editorial board supervision.
Final publication decisions remain with the board. Manuscripts authored by guest
editors are handled independently to ensure impartiality, and their number is capped
at one-quarter of the issue’s content.
