Editorial Process
Phase 1: Submission and Initial Screening
Authors begin by registering on the journal’s submission system and uploading their manuscript. The editorial assistant checks whether the submission meets formatting standards. The Editor-in-Chief then evaluates the manuscript’s relevance and determines whether it should proceed to peer review.
Phase 2: Peer Review and Decision-Making
If suitable, the manuscript is sent to two independent reviewers under a double-blind process. Reviewers typically have four weeks to submit their evaluations. After receiving the reports, the Editor decides on the manuscript’s progress based on the recommendations provided.
Phase 3: Revisions and Reassessment
Where revisions are required, authors must address the reviewers’ comments before resubmission. The Editor reviews the revised manuscript to confirm that all concerns have been resolved before acceptance.
Phase 4: Production and Publication
The accepted manuscript undergoes copy editing, followed by proofreading and layout formatting. Final proofs (galleys) are produced and reviewed by both authors and the Editor. Once approved, the article is prepared and published in the next.
