Abstract
This Special Issue of African and Global Issues Quarterly arrives at a critical juncture. Across the continent, nations grapple with twin challenges: the erosion of public trust in financial governance and the devastating rise of organized violence among youth. The five papers presented here do not merely describe these crises; they dissect their internal mechanics from the classroom to the correctional facility, from the farmlands of Oyo State to the theoretical roots of terror.
Taken together, these five contributions remind us that accountability is not a bureaucratic checkbox. It is the thread linking school grants to classroom outcomes, correctional policies to safe communities, land history to peaceful coexistence. AGIQ is proud to publish this special issue as a resource for policymakers, civil society, and scholars who refuse to accept failure as fate.
