Criteria for Editorial Committee Membership

Appointment of Guest Editors
The Journal of Contemporary Society & Education (JCSE) applies strict academic and professional standards in the appointment of guest editors. These individuals must support JCSE’s mission to publish insightful, high-quality research in the fields of society and education.

  • Credential Verification

    • Academic and Professional Review: Guest editors are evaluated based on their qualifications, disciplinary expertise, and scholarly contributions.

    • Editorial Experience: Prior involvement in peer reviewing or editorial roles is taken into account.

    • Thought Leadership: Consideration is also given to published work, invited talks, and leadership in academic or professional settings.

Requirements for Editorial Committee Membership (Including Guest Editors)

  1. Scholarly and Professional Excellence

    • A completed PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant academic field.

    • Recognised contributions through publications or leadership roles in academia or public scholarship.

  2. Editorial Background

    • Experience in journal editing, peer reviewing, or other related academic roles.

  3. Commitment to Ethics

    • Agreement to adhere to JCSE’s ethical standards and peer review procedures.

  4. Approval and Appointment

    • Final selection is made through nomination and approval by the JCSE editorial board, based on meeting all outlined criteria.
